There are some hosts that offer whatever potential customers can imagine to attract business. They also hope you won't ask any questions when your Web hosting service suffers because they've stacked too many customers on a server to maximize their profits. This is called "overselling." They crowd their servers with customers and over leverage their bandwidth hoping nobody really uses the limits of what they paid for.
- 2. So how awesome are you?
Our packages on the other hand, are provisioned to prototypical needs of a discerning customer- priced from low to higher traffic. We don't slam you with overage fees unless we notice an abusive pattern and we will gently suggest you upgrade.
The other Web host characters we mention above will most likely accuse you of abusing their network, and malicious activity on their servers or otherwise negatively effect your service since you're taxing their resources disproportionately.
You should do the ol' "sucks" test on Google and type in "[insert host] sucks" and see what results show.

- 5. Do you have FTP, PHP, Perl, SSI, .htaccess, telnet, SSH, MySQL, Cron jobs?
Yes, to FTP, PHP5, Perl., .htaccess, MySQL5 you just have to request Telnet, SSH, Cronjobs, the larger packages come with it standard.
- 6. Do you support Ruby on Rails?
Yes, our servers can handle Ruby developers.
- 7. Can I install Wordpress, a shopping cart, [insert software name here] on my account myself?
Yes, we offer Cpanel with Fantastico as your "Web control panel" which allows software installs of amazing software packages with just a few clicks of the mouse. We also offer a managed install service at $75 per incident. Contact support@dsgnr.com for more details.
- 8. How can I access my Web control panel and make changes to my site?
Our servers run CPanel X to administrate your Web accounts. Please consult your "welcome" emails for further instruction, and contact support@dsgnr.com if you need further assistance.
- 9. Do you have Email, Auto-responders, POP3, Mail Forwarding,? What about anti-spam email tools?
We have you covered on email, Yes to all those. In addition, we offer several anti-spam tools to filter unwanted email-most notably SpamAssassin™ and BoxTrapper.
- 10. I have a question about my bill or want to switch my billing plan- How can I reach you?
Send your request to billing@dsgnr.com and we'll address your concern.
- 11. Can I pay monthly? Do you offer any discounts?
You can pay monthly, quarterly and annually. There is a roughly 9% discount for quarterly and annual payments. The setup fee is also waived on annual payment terms. We offer various promotions from time to time as well, make sure to signup for our newsletter to stay on top of price breaks and new service offerings from us and our partners.
- 12. Can I get a refund if not satisfied?
We offer full refund during your initial 30 days (minus any setup fee or fees for additional add-ons to hosting services.) There's no contract, you can leave at any time.
After 30 Days
Refunds are pro-rated on quarterly, annual billing after 30 days. Refunds do not apply to setup fees (as mentioned below.) In fact, upon cancellation set-up fees will be deducted from your refund amount if it was waived at initial account setup.
In other words, we only retain funds for services rendered and setup after 30 days, returning the difference to you upon account cancellation. Our non-refundable setup fees are nominal- see #13 below.
- 13. Is there a setup fee for Web hosting packages?
There is a setup fee of $25.00 for Capsule, Satellite, Star, and $37.00 for Planet, Galaxy, Universe. The setup fee is waived for annual payment plan and various promotions. This is done to reward our customers for committing to us. However, if you cancel after 30 days and before your annual billing plan is over the setup fee will be applied to cover the normal functions of activating a web hosting account. This is done to prevent fraudulent abuse of our network and allow us to keep our favorable billing policies.
As mentioned in #11 there is a roughly 9% discount for quarterly and annual plans.
- 14. Do you have 24/7 technical support?
We have varying levels of 24/7 tech support via phone and email.
Standard business hours for phone support 9am to 5pm EST and on weekends 2pm to 6pm EST.
Our support@dsgnr.com email and trouble ticket system is monitored 24/7.
In addition, our datacenter is staffed and monitored 24/7 by level 3 technicians.- 15. How do I cancel my account and terminate your services?
We are sorry you're leaving us. Contact support@dsgnr.com with your account#, username and domain(s) and verification you have backed up your data, please see #12 re: refunds. Your cancelation will be effective when we receive that notice and at the resolution of any invoices.
DSGNRhosting.com will then retain a copy of your account for 15 days and then delete your active data. Please be advised that copies of your data may/or may not reside on nightly backup resources in the datacenter archives for a undetermined period of time.
- 16. How do I redeem my 1 FREE domain rebate† ?
The domain must be purchased through DSGNRhosting.com. You must submit a rebate form within 30 days of purchase/renewal to support@dsgnr.com and we will credit your account within 45 days of your filing date. It's that easy. One rebate per customer per calendar year. That means this offer can be applied to your domain renewal, and you could have a FREE domain for as long as you use our hosting services and offer is still valid. Offer subject to change without notice.
